Week Five

Week Five
Lino Print

For this brief, I chose multiple designs I had created previously within the past few weeks to develop and create into potential lino print designs. I chose a variety of designs, from easier to more difficult pieces so cut and print, but decided I liked my first idea, the dragonfly design.

When cutting, I was very experimental in the background for the printing. I considered cutting it clean and deep, so nothing would show up around the dragonflies, but decided adding some texture would create a more patterned aesthetic.

I had alot of fun with choosing different page types and colours for the peace, particularly loving magazine pages and deep/dark colours that made my design pop. If I were to develop this further, I would try brighter and neon colours on dark paper, or golden paints for the dragonfly wings.
